Sun/Shadow Study Example
Lighting can be a crucial factor when deciding the placement of a home on a lot. In the case shown in the video below, the homeowner was concerned about the gym, which overlooks the swimming pool to the west. They worried that late afternoon sun might cast a shadow of the taller gym on the pool, making it less comfortable for swimming. The sun shadow study proved invaluable, ultimately leading to the decision to orient the front of the house toward the northeast. This allowed more access to afternoon sun. The video also included interior views, offering another perspective that influenced the final decision.
